Emergency Transportation
Emergency Transportation is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Just call the office number to get the phone number of the driver who is on call. Our experienced drivers are available to transport your horse from anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area to the Ontario Veterinary College (Guelph), Caledon Equine Hospital or Milton Equine Hospital. Should your horse require more advanced, or specialized care during transportation to an Equine hospital, B.W.D. has the ability to send a Registered Veterinary Technician with the driver to help manage your horse from your farm to the hospital.
Ground Transportation - Long & Short Hauls
B.W.D. Equine Services is available to transport your horse anywhere in North America. Transportation can been booked as private hauls, or as co loads. The difference between the two types of transporation is that private hauls guarantee your horse goes direct from your pick up to your drop off. With co loads, horses are collected and dropped off at various points along the trip.
During ground transportation, your horse may travel in a box stall, a double wide standing stall, or a regular standing stall. Pricing varies based on the type of stall you require.
As a rule, each horse booked may also bring along one regular size tack trunk. We are usually able to transport other equipment, but there is an added fee for the space it takes up. The trailer will under no circumstances be loaded with equipment to a point where the safety of the horses is not the top priority.
Professionally licensed drivers are limited in the number of hours they may drive without taking some off duty time. Should your ground transportation be scheduled to take more than the legal number of hours of driving, we simply send a second driver along. Team driving is the safest and most efficient way to ensure your horse arrives in a reasonable amount of time.

Horse Show Transportation
B.W.D. Equine Services is always available for horse show transportation. No one enjoys running back and forth all day making various trips between the farm and the horseshow. Let us transport your whole team to the horseshow in one trip. You'll be amazed at how economical booking the 15 horse trailer is. We are also available to stay onsite for horse shows so you can work off of the trailer.
Post Surgical & Rehabilitation Care
B.W.D. Equine Services has often encountered clients who have sent their horses for emergency surgery and upon successful completion of the surgery, are not sure where to send their horses for the recovery period. Many clients do not feel that they themselves, or their boarding facility, are equipped to monitor a horse's post surgical care. B.W.D. Equine Services has a solution for that for our clients. We have partnered with FoxFire Equestrian - Rehabilitation & Post Surgical Care, to offer a unique service that no other transportation company can do. Discounted rates apply for those who book transportation and rehabilitation together.
Overseas Horse Transportation
B.W.D. Equine Services is please to partner with Calgary based Overseas Horse Services to provide our clients access to an agent who can offer full service transportation services for horses all over the world. Overseas Horse Services currently provides all of the international transportation services for competitors at Spruce Meadows, as well as many of the world's top competition horses. We are excited to have partnered with Overseas Horse Services to expand the type of transportation service we can offer our clients.
Drivers
Our drivers are also available on a contract basis for service. If you just aren't quite comfortable with the truck and trailer you have in your driveway and this is preventing you from transporting your own horses in it we can help! Our drivers are always available for short and long haul excursions in your trailer. Proof of proper insurance coverage is required for booking this particular service with B.W.D. Equine Services.
